Borne out of struggle against divisive and opportunist trends, the Association of Land & Land Reforms Officers, West Bengal was came into being by reinforcing the progressive ethos and overcoming the divisive forces on 23rd of May 1987 in a convention held at Writer’s Building CANTEEN HALL to fight for the real causes and demands of the cadres and to broaden   fraternity   and   fellowship  among  all members in particular and all cadres as well as State Government Employees in general to keep a living contact with the democratic mass movement.

The convention was attended by major number of cadres belonging to the WBSLRS Grade-I, SRO-II & SRO-I, resolving to build up a truly fighting and responsible association with a mission to foster unity amongst the cadres and to fight for realization of just achievable demands of the cadre by way of cooperating with and resonating the common demands of the State Government employees in the State of WB as well as at the national level. The occasion was graced by respected leader of the State Govt. Employees Sri Ajoy Mukhopadhyay (Ex MP-Loksabha).

After 28 years, the association continues its commitment with flying glory in the interest of the cadres and upholds the unity amongst the cadres against all odds and disruptive forces within the cadre as well as public domain.

The association cherishes a history of unwavering fight against opportunism and causes to have been able to bring out favourable orders by realizing the just demands of the cadres in terms of increase in scale of pay increase in higher posts in the cadre of SRO-II & SRO-I and bringing down the waiting time for promotion of RO and SRO II. Our relentless struggle has placed the cadre in a convenient position with respect to scale and prepared them to launch agitation for realizing demands of higher posts and scale which obviously became reachable and realizable through our past achievements.

Our association also fought tooth and nail and gloriously to establish the integrated set-up in 1989 in the L & LR Department, which was opposed by the divisive elements through court cases and orders stalling its implementation for about a decade.

The association is committed to the interest and benefit of the cadres and envisages for large unity with all the progressive elements working within the employees in the state as well as national level.

UNDER THE FLAG OF ASSOCIATION OF LAND & LAND REFORMS OFFICERS, WEST BENGAL
UNITE TO FIGHT,
THE FUTURE IS OURS ...
